  • Members are expected to follow any reasonable orders given from Commanders at any time when they are online. If you join a squad, follow the orders of that squad leader, always accept or deny and ask for new orders when appropriate.

      ARTICLES


    Article I: TAGS: =MoD= Mercenaries of Death (=MoD=); //>/ Special Warfare Group or SWG tags belong solely to =MoD= and will only be allowed for wear when you are appointed, accepted or selected to wear these tags as a member of =MoD=.

    • Article I - Section A: When accepted into the =MoD= Clan you will wear the tag =MoD= at all times whether you are playing on the =MoD= server or any other game servers. Failure to do so can result in disciplinary action.


    • Article I - Section B: Wearing of Clan tags and visiting STAT PADDING servers will result in Board of Inquiry. DO NOT do this. See Article IV: Stat Padding


    • Article I - Section C: Command position office tags and rank are allowed be worn after the =MoD= (ie.. =MoD=CG, =MoD=CDG, =MoD=CG-E). The Office tags will be strictly enforced. Anyone wearing an un-authorized office tag will be dealt with through a Board of Inquiry (BI).
    Article II: Multi-Clanning: This means that you belong to more than 1 (one) gaming clan. However you will NOT be a member of any Battlefield 2 (BF2) or Battlefield 3 (BF3) Clan while applying to or a member of =MoD= or =MoD=<>, =MoD=SWG, or any affiliated tags that belong to =MoD=. As a =MoD= Clan Member you may not join or apply to another clan that plays any BF2 or BF3 games or runs a BF2 / BF3 server. You must first resign from =MoD= Mercenaries of Death. If belonging to another clan takes away from the time needed for =MoD=, it will be requested that you resign from one or the other.

    Article III: Game Server: The =MoD= Clan sponsors a BF2/EA Partnered Ranked Game Server. The game server will adhere to the EA Sports Rules of Conduct/Game play (ROC) at all times, and the Rules set forth by the =MoD= Game Server Admin.
    • Article III – Section A: Server Admin (SA): Will be appointed and have access to BF2CC for enforcement of Game Server rules.
      • 1) Will be authorized to appoint In-Game Admins (IG) as needed to help maintain problem free games.
      • 2) Will enforce the rules of both, the =MoD= and EA Sports ROC. Violations of these rules will result in the appropriate measures to be taken.
      • 3) Can remove local server bans
    • Article III – Section B: In Game Admin (IG): Will be appointed by Server Admin and have a 2 (two) week evaluation period.
      • 1) Will enforce the rules of both, the =MoD= and EA Sports ROC.
      • 2) In-game commands for use
    • Article III – Section C: Rules: Any =MoD= member can submit a rule to be adopted or changed on the server. Submit the proposed rule or rule change in the forums. The Server admin will discuss the issue put it before the clan and then make a final decision, and post it.
      • 1) All rules will be posted to scroll in-game, on the webpage and in the forums .
    • Article III – Section D: Violations Actions: Any violations of the rules will be enforced using the below method:
      • Violations of rules:
        • 1st Offence - Warning
        • 2nd Offence - Kick
        • 3rd Offence - Kick and Temp ban
        • 4th Offence - Perm Ban
    Anyone that is NOT SF in an UNCAP will get kicked immediately.
    • STAT PADDING
      • 1st Offense -- AUTOMATIC BAN for 1 month
      • 2nd Offense -- Perm ban (info forwarded to EA Sports for removal of all account scores, awards and badges)
      • Once a ban has been set Notify the other server admin so it can be added to the ban page on the forums.
    Article IV: Cheating: Using HACKS, CHEATS, AIMBOTS, BOTS or SCRIPTS of any type is a violation against =MoD= Gaming Policy. Hacking, cheating, aim-bots, bots or script use of any kind is NOT ALLOWED. Violations of this nature will be brought before an inquiry board and dealt with accordingly.

    • Article IV – Section A: Hacks: using or passing along known or advising members or other players of any terrain, building or vehicle hack will not be tolerated. If you find a hack let your Chain of Command know and watch for others that use it. Do not advise anyone of where they my find hacks to use while gaming. Members suspected of HACK use will face a Board of Inquiry.
    • Article IV – Section B: AIMBOTS / BOTS will NOT be allowed on the server or use by any =MoD= member. Those suspected of aimbot use will be reported to EA along with screenshots of the player during game play along with the score screens and a narrative of what went on. Members suspected of AIMBOT use will face a Board of Inquiry.
    • Article IV Section C: Scripts (i.e. admin script or any other script for an advantage) will not be tolerated by the clan. Any one using these types of scripts will be forwarded to EA along with screenshots during game play along with score screen and a narrative of what went on. Members suspected of using scripts will face a Board of Inquiry.
    Article V: Stat Padding: STAT PADDING is NOT Allowed. Stat Padding is using any means necessary other than regular game play to increase your global stats, i.e. servers that allow you to knife or use other weapons or equipment to kill other player(s) multiple times or take turns in a line to kill one another to receive credit to earn your basic, veteran or expert badges. Or sitting (but not limited too) in a jet in an UNCAP Base while a game is going on and not participating in the game. Violations of this nature will be brought before an inquiry board and dealt with accordingly.

    Article VI: Racism, Ethnic or Sexism: At no time will be exhibit in any type any racism, ethnic or sexist remarks, nicks or tags. This will be considered a violation of the common welfare and good order of =MoD=. Light swearing at times is overlooked; however violations against =MoD= or any pattern of heavy or vulgar swearing, racial, ethnic or sexist slurs, at any member or player will NOT be tolerated. Chats can be a lot of fun but please keep it clean.

    Article VII: Chain of Command: Members are expected to follow the chain of command. Members go to Unit Leaders Assistant or Unit Leaders first, Unit Leaders go to Company Executive Officer or Company Commanders, Company Commanders go to Assistant Deputy Division Director, etc. If something is outside of your chain of command do not get involved! Problems are usually hard enough to solve without outside interference. If you are asked for your opinions give it but don’t get in other peoples business. Suggestions are ok to be posted on sites and message boards, but if a question arises don’t tell someone exactly what they are doing wrong and how to handle it unless they ask for your help.

    • Article VII – Section A: Call-Signs (Company/Team) Divisional Commanders can authorize the use of Call-signs (Company Names and Clan competition names) with in their command. They are to ensure that these names are not duplicated in any manner. Only 1 team will be allowed to have that Call-sign or Team name. First come first get, NO EXCEPTIONS.
      • 1) Competition Name will remain within that Divisional Team regardless of members names on the team.
    Article VIII: Game Time: To be considered an active member of =MoD= Clan you must play a minimum of 2 days a week. Not playing for extended amount of time could cause a possible reduction and / or placement into In-Active status.

    • Article VIII, Section A: In Game Play: During game play it is essential that you squad up. Always respond to orders given by your Commander or Squad Leader (page up or page down) In absence of orders or upon completion of orders request new ones. Learn to use commands as a squad leader to give your squad members direction. Ensure that all your squad members spawn on you. Direct what kits you need in your squad and assign then properly amongst your squad members. Most vehicles only have seating for 3 people. So ensure you always have the amount of vehicles you need to move your squad together.
    • Article VIII, Section B: MAPS: It is crucial that you have or get as soon as possible the following BF2 map sets:
      • 1) Standard BF2 maps,
      • 2) BF2 SF maps,
      • 3) Armored Fury and Euro Force maps.

      We will switch through the different map sets from time to time. Upon enlisting into the Clan you agreement to have or get ALL the Bf2 Map sets. Map rounds will be set from 1 to 4 rounds per map max. Request for additional maps added or deleted will be considered. Keep in mind that switching through the different map sets can cause a slow build on the server population.

      • 1) BF2 Standard: =MoD= Game Server will concentrate on the standard BF2 maps. These maps give the most for Aircraft (Jets and Helos), Armor and Vehicles. We will play an assortment of these maps.
      • 2) BF2 SF (Special Forces): Once every 2 (two) months we will switch over to BF2 SF Maps for 14 days.
      • 3) BF2 Armored Fury: Upon request we can switch over to the Armored Fury. These maps will not be implemented with any other map pack. They will be played for 14 days also.
      • 4) BF2 Euro Force: Upon request we can switch over to Euro Force maps. These maps will not be implemented with any other map pack. They will be played for 14 days also.
    Article IX: Team Speak: Team Speak is an asset for use during game time. Use of team speak is a privilege not a necessity. Team-speak is there to facilitate game play amongst =MoD= members and players of the game server. Team-speak can be used just for general communications between members of the clan. Team Speak will be the primary use of communication for all =MoD= Meetings and review boards.

    • Article IX – Section A: Battle-Comms: In game Battle-Comms is also setup and usable for game commanders and squads. Battle-comms use both internal resources as well as external team-speak.
    Article X: =MoD= Death Forums: The forum boards are a great place to communicate upcoming events, share information and ideas and chat with everyone even if no one is on at the same time. (Posts should follow rules of Article V of this publication.) =MoD= Commanders will have read and write access to all Death Forum post at all times.

    • Article X – Section A: Newsletters / Announcements may be sent to all members of certain member-groups to announce an important topic that needs the attention of the members of that specific group. If you have chosen NOT to receive announcements, your settings will be over-ridden so you can receive the message. However all announcements have been suspended until further notice by =MOD=CG.
    Article XI: Training Games: Training games will take place every Sunday evening at 7:00pm (1900 hrs) EST, USA (GMT-5) ""GMT is Greenwich Mean Time with either plus or minus and the hour difference"". Training Games are mandatory and must have your Commanders approval to be dismissed from the training games. Screening games will need a maximum participation if scheduled at different times.

    • Article XI – Section A: Absent without Cause: Being absent without being excused by your commander is a violation. Violations of mandatory games can not go uncorrected. The following will apply:
      • 1st Violation: Commanders 1st Official warning stored in members file
      • 2nd Violation: Commanders 2nd Official warning stored in members file
      • 3rd Violation: Loss of 1 (one) rank and/or 30 day suspension of Leadership position and
      • 3rd Official Warning in members file
      • 4th Violation: Loss of 2 (two) ranks and loss of Leadership position for 6 (six) months and=MoD=CG 1st Official warning
      • 5th Violation: Dismissal from the clan, No re-enlistment for 1 year
    Article XII: Clan Wars: Any Game play accepted and based to place =MoD= in a war game against another clan. Whether it be a sanctioned or non-sanctioned game.

    • Article XII – Section A: Clan wars can only be entered upon with the approval of the CG, or the appropriate command approval. The chain of succession is CG, DCG, XO, SWG.
    • Article XII -- Section B: =MoD= Wide Clan team name will be appointed. This team will consist of any member within the clan to play.
    • Article XII -- Section C: Divisional Commanders only request through the Chain of Command to authorize =MoD= for competition into a Clan War. When requesting approval the commander will submit the following details:
      • 1) Date and Time and Type (Single or Tournament) of game
      • 2) Server ip and officials of the game
      • 3) Clan name and tag
      • 4) Team name for =MoD= (=MoD= Divisional Team Name)
      • 5) Point of contact and email for other clan commander
      • 6) Number of players for team with names of players
      • 7) If tournament, players starting must finish the tournament
    • Article XII– Section D: Any and all UN-AURTHORIZED entry into Clan War game will be brought before a Board of Inquiry for review. 1) At no time will any member not in a command position schedule a Clan on Clan Game.
    Article XIII: Enlistment: Enlisting into the =MoD= Clan you must read and accept the Terms Of Agreement (TOA) for Enlistment into the =MoD=. You also must fill out an Enlistment Application and attend a Screening Game.
  • 1) The Screening games will be announced in the Death Forums under the PEnding Enlistment Catagory.You must attend a screening game within 30 days from the date of your Enlistment Application date.
  • 2) During this 30 day application window you must also play on the =MoD= Game Server at a minimum of 2 times a week and attend the weekly Screening/Training Game.


    • Article XIII – Section A: E.C. (Enlistment Committee) will be made of 5 members of the clan. The E.C. Members will not be known to any member other than the committee its-self. Their sole purpose is to evaluate the potential of new enlistees into the clan. They will use the player’s stats, stat worksheet and the screening game as a means of this evaluation along with comments made by the members that played in the screening game. The EC will be a random selection of =MoD= members, and will not consist of same committee more than 2 (two) consecutive screening games
    • Article XIII – Section A-1: Full acceptance is when there is no problem within the player’s stats, or gaming ability. Once accepted they will receive an email with a Letter of Acceptance into the clan with all information needed to setup or use all programs and privileges of the clan
    • Article XIII – Section A-2: Acceptance based proposal of starting a new nick and no longer playing the nick that was registered and applied for enlistment into the =MoD= Clan. Player meets all qualifications of screening game, but however due to evidence of stat padding is given the option to:
      • 1) Register a new nick
      • 2) No longer playing that player while a member of =MoD= (players current stat page while be saved for this purpose).
      • 3) Playing set aside nick (means nick is set aside and not played as long as a member of =MoD=) during membership with =MoD= is grounds for clan dismissal. The current stats page for this nick will be saved and periodically reviewed to ensure this isn’t happening.
    • Article XII I– Section A-3: Denied Enlistment due to:
      • 1) Failure to meet expectations of the clan
      • 2) Refusal to change nicks and place current nick into stasis until resignation or removal from the clan.
      • 3) Failure to participate in a screening game within 30 days of enlistment request.
      • 4) Using Hacks, Bots or cheats for any reason.
    • Article XIII– Section B: Screening games are for evaluating the enlistees potential of the possibility to become a member of =MoD=. These games will be scheduled as needed on Sundays of each week. The game MAY or MAY NOT be combined with the training game.
    • Article XIII – Section C: Acceptance will be based upon your performance during the screening game. Your ability to work with others as a squad member and follow directions of your squad leader / commander and to issue orders while playing the game.
    Article XIV: Recruitment: Being a member of =MoD= you will actively recruit for new members and promote the =MoD= Game Server. The clan can only grow and get better. Without recruiting and promotion of the game server, the clan will only become stale and die. This we DO NOT want to happen.

    • Article XIV – Section A: Recruitment Areas: Use all types of recruitment possible.. Check the Death Forums out to see what areas are listed for recruiting. If you find an area join it and recruit from there. List this new area in the forums page.
      • 1) Word of mouth - tell all your friends and friends friends
      • 2) Gaming or BF2 Forums (not clan forums) – posting in Community type forums
      • 3) =MoD= Game Server players – players that are on constantly and are not a member of a clan. Or those unhappy with their clan
    Article XV: Member Status: There will be 3 status that you can fall into; 1) Active, 2) In-Active, 3) Deployed. Each status will have requirements to fulfill.

    • Article XV – Section A: Active Status – Plays more than 3 times a week. Attends all scheduled Training games. Actively participates in the forums. Leadership positions are open. Actively recruits for new members.
    • Article XV – Section B: In-Active Status – You will be entered into an IN-ACTIVE STATUS if you fail to login to the =MoD= game server after 2 (two) months (60 days). After 6 months (180 days) you will be removed from the rosters of =MoD= and will have to re-submit and application to re-enlist and attend a screening game and a Board of Inquiry.
    Article XVI: Re-Enlistment: Re-enlistment can be accomplished. You will need to follow the Rules of Enlistment and attend a screening game. Once the E.C. has made its decision then the matter of your re-enlistment will be brought before the =MoD=CG and =MoD=DCG for evaluation. If you were dismissed or removed from the clan, you may be brought into a board of inquiry to discuss your re-enlistment. However, your re-enlistment will require a rank deduction of 1 (one) to 4 (four) ranks depending on how long you were gone. You will NOT be re-assigned back into a command position for a minimum of 6 months.

    Article XVII: Board of Inquiry: Will be in position to deal with disciplinary problems and situations. The Board of Inquiry will be the Commanders out side of the individuals Chain of Command. (i.e. if member is under the =MoD=CG-E, the Board of Inquiry will consist of members of equal or greater rank from =MoD= CG-EU, =MoD=CG-W, =MoD=<>BC-H, =MoD=<>BC-J.

    • Article XVII - Section A: If any Article is violated the following 3-step systems goes into effect, after review of the offence by the Board of Inquiry as the executing authority:
      • 1st Violation of the CoC: official warning stored in the member's database
      • 2nd Violation of the CoC: rank demotion up to 2 ranks and/or loss of command position
      • 3rd Violation of the CoC: rank demotion to recruit and no command position for 1 year
      • 4th Violation of the COC: Dismissal from =MoD=
    • Article XVII – Section B: Appeal: During your Board of Inquiry you will be afforded time to appeal and state your reasons for dismissal or reductions of the violations against you. At this time you should bring forth any information you have regarding the issue. Once the Board has finished its inquiry all information and the Board of Inquiry’s recommendation will be sent for Final Approval.
    • Article XVII—Section C: Final Approval: The Board of Inquiry’s recommendation will be sent for review by the =MoD=CG for final approval. The =MoD=CG can lessen the recommendation, but WILL NOT increase the Board of Inquiry’s recommendation.
    Summary

    UPDATES: Any updates will be made available to all members and posted on the forums. All new changes will be in RED fonts. Thirty (30) days after posting all contents will be changed to black fonts.
